Passion
The formation of elements with a high atomic number, such as gold and platinum, is due to an extremely rare collision of two neutron stars, which made their formation possible in the first place. The long journey from the stars to the mountains and rivers on our earth is due to the geological processes that have taken place since the beginning of our earth 4.54 billion years ago and have created the crystals and nuggets from the “stardust”.
For a good 25 years, gold and platinum have exerted an irresistible attraction on me and have been the focus of my mineral collection. In addition to worldwide hard rock gold samples from micromounts to small specimens, this also consists of numerous placer gold and platinum samples, as well as polished slabs of gold mineralization.
