Meteorite - Marburg [Pal] - Germany

The Marburg meteorite was discovered in 1906 near the river Lahn in Marburg, Hesse, Germany. The original meteorite weighed about 3 kilograms; today only a few fragments remain, as the main part was lost during an air raid in the Second World War. Analyses showed that it contains about 63 % metal (mainly iron and nickel), 35 % olivine and 2 % troilite and schreibersite.
